A Rose in Harlem

So yes, it’s been months and although I’ve wanted to post, juggling school, work and an internship was more than I could handle last semester. As for this semester… life just got in the way so instead of beating myself up about it, I’ve just decided to choose quality over quantity and post when possible. So here we go!

Here’s my “it’s not summer, it’s not winter and in New York we don’t know what spring is” look. It’s honestly so hard to leave your house wearing the correct clothes for the weather, so I’ve just decided to wear whatever feels right. Regardless, everyone on the street is dressed for a different season.
Very rarely do I wear low-rise pants because high-rise are just more figure flattering, but I was loving the look of these extra long slacks over sneakers. Pairing them with a cropped turtleneck tank and jacket also added the bit of edge I wasn’t getting from the full version, while still keeping me cool. Now, let’s see what kind of weather we get in the coming weeks. Hopefully summer will start making more of an appearance and reunite us with short shorts.
